Annual Dinner 2011

Recently attended the company Annual Dinner 2011 in the Ciao Restaurante, near Kg Pandan.

The theme was The Sicilian Family Gathering. So, everyone has to dress up like mafia...
Some of them even dress up like this..

Hongkong Mafia
The Russian Mafia

The dinner was fun, quite a number of performances and games and they even hired a pair of professional dancer.

But the food (pizzas, spaghetti, lasagna, salads, etc) was not. I mean, to me, it is OK but to a lot of people, it sucks. They told me later they're going for teh tarik....This goes on till 12am.

and they had some discos...

Our annual dinner that's it.....

My trip to Koh Samui, Ang Thong National Park, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao and Koh NangYuan

Ang Thong National Park
After 1 night staying at Koh Samui, we took a tour to Ang Thong Marine National Park and stay a night there. Climb up the hill at about 200m, you can see the view here.

Ang Thong Marine Park viewpoint at 200m.

The route to Ang Thong ViewPoint
The view is beautiful, but it's not really a nice place to stay overnight. At night, there were no electricity, maybe tripped or something, I don't know, and we could hear all sorts of noise...

Next morning, we went kayaking around the Marine Park and we chose the biggest island on the map the people there had given.. Wow.. that's the most hectic but the best experience we've ever had. We spent 5 hours in the middle of the sea and our kayaks nearly overtun as it hit one of the rocks because of the large waves. After reaching the shore, we asked one of our tour guides, and they said they should have warned us earlier....even a long tail boat dare not go thru that route! What a record!

This is one of the Restaurants in Koh Samui, the Eat Sense. Very beautiful. You should try and enjoy the food over here.

The Big Buddha Pier

Next, we took a ride on the speedboat to Koh Phangan after coming back from Ang Thong here.

Koh Phangan

Love at first sight!

This is the best resort we've ever stayed - the Bayview Resort, Haadyao.

The food here is not bad.. except, there are a lot of mosquitoes in the evening. We did not swim here, as there are a lot of people looking. haha.

Koh Tao

Next, we went on to Koh Tao. It is a nice and inexpensive place to dive.

Stayed in Asia Divers Resort, cheap, suitables for divers as well as snorkellers.

Took a tour to the Japanese Tea Garden. Very nice view. As compared to Ang Thong, this is easy to climb up to the viewpoint. As you can see, the water here are really clear. Lots of people including us, went snorkelling near the beach.

The STRELITEIA

This is one of the flowers in Asia Divers Resort, Koh Tao. Man, they really good in plants!!

Planted a lot of water lilies in Koh Tao.

Coming, Honey!!

This was one of the tour, booked thru the resort... snorkelling around Koh Tao. Our members had fun here.

There were a few ladies who do not like it when we took their photos with bikinis, so we didn't post it here.

Koh Samui

Finally, we're back to Samui to visit the Big Buddha's temple. On the way, we took a cab with a family from Europe and they asked us, "Why are you all here? Is it cheaper?" .

People use to throw some coins at the statue and it is believed that if the coins drop on the Buddha's hand, you wish will be fullfilled.

Despite the heat from the hot sun, We both bought a coconut here, which cost around 50thb each.

Few hundred metres away from Big Buddha temple, you shall see Wat Plai Laem, one of the most colorful temple on Samui and features an 18 arms strong Buddha statue set in the middle of the lake..
